Design with A Purpose
Staying true to its spirit of good design with good intention, Ishinomaki Laboratory is committed to the ‘Made in Local’ initiative to craft their furniture directly on-site, minimising long distance shipments and reducing carbon footprint by partnering with local makers for offering its range of furniture in different locations globally.
Check out Ishinomaki Laboratory furniture, made locally in Bali by CushCush at Indonesia Design Week 2026!
CushCush is known for its furniture and objects that combine local materials, design, and craftsmanship in Bali.
The Ishinomaki Laboratory furniture, crafted by CushCush since 2024, is made from reclaimed teak wood sourced from traditional timber houses from the archipelago, reflecting Indonesia’s cultural heritage.
Continuing the exploration on sustainable material, new range of reclaimed wood is now part of the collection.
Join us as we unveil the new sustainable material we use for the ‘Made In Local’ Ishinomaki Laboratory collection in Jakarta this September!
